Causes

Before we define anterior pelvic tilt and specify its most possible causes, let us first understand two things: hip flexors and hip extensors. Hip flexors are those found in the lower part of our torso. They are basically the muscles that join the thigh bone to the pelvis which, in turn, attach to the lower back. They help man bend, kick, walk, run, and jog, among others. The hip extensors, meanwhile, are made up of hamstring muscles and gluteus maximus. They basically prevent hip flexion. They also support the body and keep it straight up.

  • Make it a habit to sit up or stand up straight. At the end of the day, it is up to you to put in a bit of extra effort. Keep yourself in check. When you detect that your pelvis is in the wrong direction or any other concern with posture, correct right away.

    1. Be mobile from time-to-time at work. Use natural energy to power the home or office building.
    2. Regular physical activity. Plan out a regular exercises regimen for you and your companions.
    3. Proper posture even when writing. This is habit formation. If you continuously correct yourself at the face of fosture concerns, remind the kids that they do have curfew hours.
    4. Stay mobile. The more you move, the better you will feel.
